These apartments were granted planning permission replacing existing dangerous structures with subsidence problems. Here 14 new flats provide 4 additional households over and above the eight existing dwellings.
The site is unusual being built into the ground to a depth of two storeys on two sides. The solution was to provide duplex apartments at lower levels which benefit from good natural daylight. All parking is beneath a new landscape garden at the rear of the development.
The apartments are designed in a traditional style in keeping with the street scene.
